Do you sell vehicles?

No. We don't own or sell vehicles. We coordinate your vehicle purchase directly with authorized Chinese dealers. You pay the dealer directly for the vehicle.

Why import from China?

Chinese EVs offer cutting-edge technology, competitive pricing, and innovative features often unavailable through traditional UAE dealers. Importing directly gives you access to the latest models and configurations.

Is importing legal in the UAE?

Yes, importing vehicles into the UAE is completely legal when done through proper channels with correct documentation. EVDIRECT handles all compliance and regulatory requirements.

Pricing & Payment

What does the AED 15,000 fee cover?

Our concierge fee covers all our coordination services: vehicle sourcing, shipping coordination, customs clearance, documentation, UAE registration, and delivery. The vehicle cost and shipping are paid directly by you to dealers and logistics.

How much does the total import cost?

Total cost includes: EVDIRECT fee (AED 15,000) + vehicle cost (varies by model) + shipping (~AED 7,000 per vehicle) + customs & clearance (~11-12% of vehicle value). For a Xiaomi YU7 Max (~AED 195,000), expect total around AED 239,000 before optional add-ons.

Is the concierge fee refundable?

Yes, 100% refundable until your car is secured. Your AED 15,000 concierge fee is fully refundable until we've successfully secured your vehicle with the dealer and the import process officially begins.

Are there hidden fees?

No. All costs are transparent and disclosed upfront. Customs & clearance is a percentage of vehicle value (11-12%), so it's calculable once you know your vehicle price.

Process & Timeline

How long does the import take?

Typically 4-6 weeks from initiation to delivery. Timeline depends on vehicle availability, shipping conditions, and customs processing.

Can I track my vehicle?

Yes. We provide regular updates throughout the process and real-time tracking during shipping.

What if there are delays?

We communicate any delays immediately and work to resolve issues. Some factors (weather, customs) are beyond our control, but we keep you informed.

Do I need to do anything during the process?

Minimal involvement required. You'll need to provide identification documents, arrange payment to dealer and logistics, and be available for delivery.

Vehicle & Registration

Will my vehicle be UAE-registered?

Yes. We handle complete UAE vehicle registration in all emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, RAK, Fujairah, UAQ), including license plates and all documentation. Your vehicle arrives registered in your name and ready to drive.

Are the vehicles new or used?

Brand new only. We import factory-fresh vehicles directly from authorized Chinese dealers. No used vehicles.

Can I choose any configuration?

Yes, subject to availability from dealers. We source your exact specifications including color, trim, and options.

Warranty & Support

Will my imported EV have a UAE manufacturer warranty?

No. Manufacturer warranties are region-specific and typically not honored in the UAE for vehicles imported from other markets. Chinese domestic market vehicles come with manufacturer warranty valid only in China. This is why we strongly recommend purchasing extended warranty coverage through our UAE-based warranty partners (from AED 8,500).

What's the difference between imported and GCC-spec vehicles?

Vehicles built for the Chinese market may have:

  • Software and navigation in Chinese (can be updated/modified)
  • Region-specific connectivity features
  • Different climate calibration (we verify UAE suitability)

However, the vehicle quality, battery technology, and core performance are identical. We handle all necessary adaptations and ensure full UAE registration compliance.

How do warranty claims work?

Extended warranty claims are processed through the provider's approved facility network in the UAE. EVDIRECT can facilitate and guide you but doesn't process claims directly.

What if something goes wrong after delivery?

Contact us first. We can guide you to the appropriate warranty provider or service facility. We remain available for support even after delivery.
